Legislative Committee
In partnership with the ICSC Minnesota Government Relations Committee, and in coalition with various commercial real estate groups and chambers of commerce, the MSCA Legislative Committee actively presents our industry’s concerns to the governor’s office and the Minnesota Legislature. The committee informs MSCA members about pending legislation and other legislative efforts, including generating and directing grass-roots efforts by MSCA members. This committee meets monthly, with the exception of July and August, and works closely with MSCA’s paid lobbyist to influence the legislative agenda and legislation in the best interests of our industry. Current efforts include working on issues such as property tax reform, transportation and special taxing districts.
